BASIC QUALIFICATION

1.               When I go through a “Job description”, or I am reading a “vacant post” details, this word often catches my attention. What is the “BASIC QUALIFICATION” required.  Once this checklist is ok with you, you go ahead for applying the job. But I am sure each organization requires unwritten in Job description and basic qualification and that is “believe” in a person to do that job.
2.               Believes are of two types
a.   Believe of myself in me
b.   Believe of Organization in me
3.                Believe of myself in me: Sometime if you ask yourself that “AM I ELIGIBLE TO THIS JOB?”  Your inner self will tell you, that you are not eligible, although in documents, you are fulfilling all the requirements. On the contrary, sometimes a job comes, and you believe in yourself that you can do it, do apply for that job and tell the HR people that you are capable to coup up with job requirement.
4.               As a volunteer to a blood bank of a hospital, I individually believe in myself that I could fulfil their requirement. One morning I started the campaign by giving my blood to the blood bank. Later on, I ran the campaign successfully for four years, till the time I had job in that particular city. So my inner belief urged me to do what I can. Listen to what you inner voice is telling you to do and you’ll do it for the society and for the organization.
5.               Believe of Organization in me:  Some Bosses say they don’t find “Trust” in today’s subordinates, well there is one advice for them, try to give some level of authority to their subordinates and let them decide on their own. Then some will fulfil your desired requirement and some will not. By doing so, you can have some trustworthy staff. Once my boss Sir. Abdul Rehman was writing my appraisal and he called me. He showed me what he has written about me, he asked do you agree with what I have written in your favour. I told him, realistically speaking, if I would be given authority to write about myself, I would not have given so much good remarks to myself as you have given to me. This was the belief he has on me. That’s why I don’t need to lie in front of him.
6.               Similarly one of my boss Sir Noman sent me on 7 days urgent leave without any documentation and prior to informing the HR department. Later on he fulfilled the formalities. He believed that Bilal is not going to lie in front of him so he would be given leave when he demands.  Now a days, each sub ordinate is being checked with biometric system, with online availability, car tracking systems installed and many other checks and sub ordinates have limited authority than ever before.
7.               Narrow minded Bosses cannot create leaders under their authority and that’s due to lack of having trust in their subordinates.

8.               My proposal to the CONSTIPATED BOSSES is to be open minded and give way to their subordinates, give them some air to breath in, give them some space to work, and then , not all of them , but some will show their spirit and extraordinary performances. Just Trust in them. So if I conclude, for both beliefs in the subordinates, a boss plays most important role, but an individual should also try to improve themselves and try to believe in them.

THE MOST ANCIENT MANAGER

First one, who managed food and water, for human breed on earth. He

is to hunt animal to eat. He started Resource Management, to find

some weapon to kill an animal; a pointed wood log and stones.

Something that can keep water for storage and water might be safe in

it. He is to lift Water with some form of pouch.

He did Alternate Resource Management to fruits when

there’s no animal available or just for change. He

managed how to collect those. His management was limited to collection of Food and

Water. It expanded further for next season; he went to increasing the growth of fruit.

Now he was to do Time Management. Then he shifted from Fruits to crops. Now he

is to cook the crops for which he needed Fire. He managed clothes of his family by

animal skin. He communicated with his wife and children and developed a language.

Effective communication was developed. He told his children how to live and survive

in this world and how to hunt. Training of Human Resource carried out. Every step

what he taught to children, when children rightly followed were hugged and in this

way children got their Reward.

From ancient time to today, Father; as first Manager in every house and family is

ASKING FOR A LEAVE FROM YOU

1.    While working as a Manager for the last 10 years inclined

me to write upon one of the issue which every employee is to

face. That is asking for a leave. Some employee are successful in
getting much leaves and some are unfortunate in this matter.

But I want to highlight , what a boss should do when a person

ask for a leave. Being a boss, although its your right to keep in

view all situations , workload , previous leaves, absentee rate

etc. But I tell you one tip which plays an enormous rule in your

life for building better communication among the employees,

having good respect and obedience. You would be surprised but

 that is true.

" WHENEVER A PERSON IS ASKING FOR A

LEAVE , IT IS GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO GIVE HIM A

LEAVE"  ,

and you would be wondering what the heck am I

saying. With past experience of 10 years in Aeronautical

Industry and carrying out all sort of maintenance and Quality

control activities, with all urgent flying requirements, I had the

best time with my employees and equipment in a sense that no

work remain pending along with the policy of giving each and

every person who wants to get a leave.

2.    There has been tremendous debate over the issue. Employee

increased leaves sometimes makes him / her prone to bullying

by the boss.  This is due to the fact that Bosses starts

compromising production at the cost of declining social values

and employee emotions. However emotions and social values

are among one of the strongest bond which a boss can develop

with his/her employees. I had been managing 100 people staff

approximately for many years and did not stop any leave. As a

result there was to effect of production/ maintenance process.

3.    It has been observed that employee suffering from chronic

diseases like asthma or hepatitis etc remain mostly in a state of

anxiety and tension due to the fact that he or she is stressed by

continuous gestures received from the boss.

4.     To come to the conclusion , bosses have to create an

atmosphere where employee feel free to get leave specially in

those circumstance which leave can give him/her relief from

some suffering as illness or maternity leave etc.
